Nets and Summer Camps
BOOKING SYSTEM

If you are a member of Storrington CC please use the booking form below. 

To have use of the nets you will need to be a Storrington CC member. 

Adult Net Practice occurs Thursdays between 17.30 - 20.00

Cygnets training is Friday evenings between 17.30-20.00. 

If you wish to use the nets at other times please book via the option below.

Using the nets safely

All members and guests must use the facility responsibly and follow the ECB’s Recreational Cricket Safety Guidelines. Before starting, please check that the netting and playing surface are safe and report any damage or concerns to the club. Do not use a bay if you believe it is unsafe.

During the session:

• Only bowl when the batter is ready.

• Remain alert and keep your eyes on the batter and the activity in your bay.

• Do not walk across an adjoining bay while it is in use.

• Retrieve balls from the netting carefully and never lean headfirst into the net.

• Keep kit, bags and loose equipment away from the playing surface.

• Shout “STOP” immediately if a safety concern arises.

Anyone batting against a hard cricket ball must wear appropriate protective equipment. Players under 18 must wear a helmet with a faceguard or grille, and junior players required to wear a helmet must also wear the applicable additional protection. The ECB also recommends that adult batters wear a helmet when facing any form of hard-ball bowling.

Junior members

Any participant under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult. That adult must remain onsite for the full duration of the booking and is responsible for supervising the child throughout the session.

Unless the booking is part of an organised club coaching session, the booking does not include coaching or supervision from Storrington Cricket Club.

Bowling machine

The bowling machine may only be operated by an authorised Storrington Cricket Club coach. It is not available for members or parents to use during independently booked net sessions and must not be moved, switched on or operated without permission.

By using the facility, all participants agree to follow these conditions and any instructions displayed at the nets.
