GIRLS CRICKET

Our girls teams train on a Friday evening at 18.00 - 19.30 at the club.
It’s a friendly informal session and new joiners are always very welcome to come along and try it out.
Girls don’t need to have any experience in Cricket to join and it’s a great way to enjoy physical activity, whilst learning a team game and developing coordination skills.
This season’s training sessions will commence on Friday 19th April and usually run every week through to early September. Sessions are always weather dependent and we have an app for parents so that we can keep you updated on whether a session is going ahead or not.
The club environment is a very social one and we would encourage parents to come along, stay and support the girls, have a drink and meet other local parents. It’s a lovely end to the working week, especially when the sun is shining!
Girls don’t need any kit to attend training and we do have a supply of match shirts we lend out if the girls are selected to play in a match. Many of the girls do go on to buy their own shirt with their name on the back, once they start joining in with matches. These shirts can be purchased through this website.
New joiners can attend for two free sessions to decide if cricket is a sport they enjoy and then we would ask that family membership be purchased. More details can be found on the membership page.
Under 12’s is aimed at players in school years 6, 7 & 8 (age 11, 12 & 13)
If your daughter is not in this age range, please get in touch with us to talk about alternative options. Our aim is to never turn away someone that is keen to play, so we will always strive to find a place for your daughter and girls can also train and play in the boys teams!
The club also runs All Stars cricket sessions. This is a great entry point, with a shorter season and no matches, ideally suited to boys and girls aged 5-8. It’s a great way to get them started.
